The Chosen Ones - Does this give you goosembumps?

Did that message give you goosebumps? It sure did to me! I mean just imagine, out of the 1.8 billion Muslims around the world, a few millions would have DESIRED to do hajj this year and may have made plans for the same, out of them Allah handpicks a 1000 of them!!! And they become His guests against all odds while the others have to just succumb to the fate this epidemic has brought forth. How would you feel if you were one of them among this 1000 who were handpicked by Allah?!! If this could give us goosebumps and make our eyes well up, think about how it would be when Allah calls out the Sabiqoon on the DOJ and tells them, “you may proceed, you have no judgement”, while the rest vast sea of people just wait and have to succumb to the terrors and tensions of what lie ahead!! Imagine how would you feel if you were one of the Sabiqoon?!!

In the case of this this year’s hajj, it was purely Allah’s choice and we didn’t have any role whatsoever to play in it. But as for the DOJ picking, we do have a role in it. Allah has given the power of it in our hands. It depends on our deeds and deeds alone. it’s our choice! Millions and trillions lay beneath the soil who do not have that choice anymore. But you and I have that choice in our hands today. Right now. It’s just a decision away! And if we make that strong resolution to strive to be among the Sabiqoon, then even if we die this minute, know that “إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ” - deeds are but judged by intentions, and InshaAllah we shall be safe! But if we make the resolution and we fall and fail, we are still safe InshaAllah as long as we have made it a point to strive again and again until we die. Because then, we die in the struggle and we become the martyrs in the struggle. And we do not need to mention the status of martyrs in Allah’s sight!

So... by all means STRIVE! And InshaAllah we can hope that on that day He’ll pick you and me! And that day will be a million times better than today!!
